Operation Imagination Summer Camps, Monday-Friday, International Museum of Art & Science. IMAS hosts week-long educational summer camps for grades K-8, June-August covering a variety of fun topics. $180/$160 non-members/members ($100/$90 for Pre K only) for each week-long session. This week’s sessions are Jr. Detective (grades 1-2), CSI Extravaganza (3-5) and Animal Forensics (6-8).

Summer Nights at the Museum, Thursday 7pm, Museum of South Texas History (Edinburg). The second of three family-friendly, hands-on interactive history nights, focused on the River Highway exhibit.
Pride in the Park, Saturday 3-10pm, McAllen Convention Center Oval Park. Music headlined by Girl in a Coma plus artists, food trucks, vendors, giveaways & more. $4 suggested donation.
Somos Musica Fest, Saturday 9pm, Cine El Rey. Los Whats, Doble De, Le Revolucion, The Riverside Boys and Dulce Toxico perform. Tickets are $5 online or from the bands; $10 at the door.

IMAS Studio Sundays, Sunday 2-3pm, International Museum of Art & Science. IMAS extends the fun this summer with one hour monthly art workshops exploring a different topic each time. Included in regular admission. The first workshop is Watercolor Drawing.
